Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 0.5 tsp chili flakes

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes

  • 0.25 cup basil leaves

  • to taste salt

  • to taste black pepper

  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Boil a pot of water with a pinch of salt and add the spaghetti. Cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden.
  • Add chili flakes and cherry tomatoes to the pan. Cook for around 5 minutes, until tomatoes are soft.
  • Drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan. Toss to combine with the garlic and tomato mixture.
  • Add basil leaves, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir gently and let the flavors combine for a few minutes.
  • Serve the pasta hot and top with freshly grated parmesan cheese for extra flavor and richness.
